Let me be your
Friend for the End

“Listen.  Let go of everything you think you already know and listen to the silence and allow yourself to fall in love.”
–Rev. Olivia Bareham

My name is Cara Pershall. Born and raised in Oklahoma, I’m a blessed wife, mom, dog-mama, and Mimi. I consider myself blessed to share my knowledgeable and compassionate care with people of all ages, regardless of medical diagnoses or lack thereof.

I have no fear of death or dying. I have borne witness to several deaths and view them as wholly sacred, loving, and honorable events. I am deeply grateful to be able to provide positive care at the time of passing.

I am passionate about ensuring that everyone can have the death they desire. Through end-of-life planning, I help clients make decisions and close the gap between what people really want and what occurs upon death or incapacitation.

NO ONE DIES ALONE!
I will be your (or your loved one’s) Friend for the End!
When the end-of-life is near, I provide non-medical, holistic support and comfort to the dying person and their family.  I will provide literal and figurative handholding, especially when family members are unable to be present.

As an ordained minister, I am available to officiate funerals, living funerals, or pet funerals. I cherish the opportunity to be a source of comfort for the grieving.

I will assist you and your loved ones throughout the entire end-of-life process, including after-death and mourning care.

I am a Certified End-of-Life Doula, having received training from The International Association of Professions Career College (also known as IAP Career College). I am a member of the National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) and the National Home Funeral Alliance (NHFA).

Please see the Products page for information on the specific services I offer. Each service is priced individually, however, tailored packages are available. Dying should not result in debt.  Though doula services are currently not paid for by insurance or Medicare, I offer payment options such as credit card payments and installment plans.

I look forward to assisting you!

NEDA Doula Model of Care

The National End-of-Life Doula Alliance (NEDA) Doula Model of Care recognizes the need for ethical, compassionate care for all, and emphasizes empowering, non-judgmental support to maximize the self-determination of the individual and honor significant others and family as part of the circle of care.
We acknowledge and honor the fundamental value and dignity of all individuals.  To this end, we strive to create an environment that is welcoming to all, and where each person feels accepted, included, seen, heard, valued, and safe.
