Sacred Space
Atmosphere is an important aspect of care space. Minimizing loud noises and bright lights will lessen discomfort for the dying person, medical staff, and loved ones. A sacred space creates feelings of
calm and safety.
Lighting with flameless candles, dimming bulbs, or party lights sets the mood for relaxation. Personalize the space with photos or mementos. Playing soft music or binaural beats can be extremely soothing. Plants increase coziness and help filter air. In some cases, scents can be used for air/space purification or consolation.
I utilize client’s personal items and gather other things to create a wholly tranquil experience.
Services Include
This serves as a general guideline. All services are customizable and will be tailored to your specific needs.
During our initial consultation, we’ll discuss all available options and costs. We’ll consider medical conditions, physical space, religious views, likes/dislikes, and logistical feasibility.
Space creation: once supplies have been gathered, I’ll schedule time to create the space. Estimated time to completion is one hour. If the patient is relocated, I’ll remove and reset the space. Upon death, I’ll remove all items used to create the Sacred Space, delivering personal items to the family.
