Funeral Planning
Peace of mind can be yours when you pre-plan your funeral. Remove the burden from your loved ones and get exactly what you want. This is not a pre-paid plan. Nothing will be purchased until death*. However, having a plan in place will ease your mind and certainly bring comfort to your loved ones, knowing everything is taken care of.
A meaningful funeral service is important to the grieving process for those left behind.
Pre-arranging without the time constraints following death is a healthy gift of love you can give your family. Typically, pre-planning is less expensive because a grieving family wants “only the best” for the deceased. Financial decisions based in fear of disappointing or clouded by grief can blow a budget quickly. Save your family money by planning ahead!
There are more choices than ever now, so you can tailor any services to your needs. Beyond the funeral parlor or church, you can choose a location that means something special. From the setting to the music, I’ll guide you to a complete plan of your desires.
Tomorrow is not guaranteed.
Funeral locations aren’t limited to churches or funeral homes. You can choose a meaningful, beautiful place for your loved ones to gather.
There are so many choices to make so don’t burden your family! Together, we’ll choose your clothing, casket, photos, adornments (flowers, flag, etc.), music, and more.
If you don’t have a pastor or cleric, I can serve as your funeral officiant. I am an ordained minister, and it would be my honor to perform your ceremony.
Denying the reality of death doesn’t make it less true. Free yourself to live life more fully by erasing the worry about your end-of-life plans. The most loving thing we can do for our loved ones is take care of as much as possible in advance.
*If you would like to pre-pay for your services, you certainly can. There may be financial benefits to pre-funding or pre-planning.
Services Include
This serves as a general guideline. All services are customizable and will be tailored to your specific needs.
Your comprehensive funeral planning session consists of understanding all available options and costs. We’ll make arrangements for exactly what you want, from location, care provider, adornments (flowers, flag, etc.), music, officiant, attendants, viewing, casket, clothing, memorials, and more.
Tours: I will schedule, and attend with you, a tour of a cemetery or funeral home to ensure you get all your questions answered and your mind put at ease.
Notification/Obituary: Grief is overwhelming. There are so many necessary notifications upon death to be made. Let me lift that burden from your loved ones. You provide a list of relatives, coworkers, creditors, lenders, medical providers etc. and I’ll notify them by phone or mail (as appropriate).
Obituaries are often the final official remembrance so they should be written with compassion and care. Funeral homes are usually responsible for obits. I’ll write an honorable summary and provide a memorial copy complete with personal item or photo for a designated loved one.
Funeral Officiant: As an ordained minister (Universal Life Church), I am qualified to officiate your ceremony of choice. I will do my best to honor your requests, to ensure the most loving and respectful event for your loved ones.
